For decades, hundreds, if not thousands, of books have been published worldwide about “toxic or dysfunctional parents,” about “childhood trauma,” and how these experiences affect adult life, relationships, and both mental and physical health.
This is no longer hidden knowledge. These are facts we all know. We know the mechanisms. We have the research. We keep quoting the same authors and the same arguments — over and over again.
And yet… this knowledge does not change the system.
What’s missing? What’s missing is what could truly break this cycle: global, mandatory, and free mental health prevention.
Not a “post-event” reaction — when someone has already killed, fallen into depression, is trapped in a toxic relationship, or is on the edge of life — but tools and education from the earliest years to prevent the wounds that shape an entire lifetime.
And what are mental health professionals doing? Here’s the question that has haunted me for years: why can’t psychologists, psychotherapists, and psychiatrists worldwide unite and push for this solution? Why don’t they create a common front? Why do they prefer to publish yet another book, repeating what we already know, instead of joining forces to fight for prevention that could save millions of lives?
Many behave like celebrities — preferring to shine, stroke their egos, and build personal brands rather than truly collaborate with colleagues for systemic change.
Meanwhile, every day, someone in the world decides they no longer want to live, falls into depression, divorces, or breaks bonds and relationships.
This is not a topic for yet another book. This is a topic for action here and now. For building a global movement that places mental health prevention on the same level as preventing heart disease or any other illness.
Because just as no one waits to treat pneumonia, we should not wait for children to grow into adults wounded for life.
If we already have all this knowledge, if we’ve been repeating the same truths for decades, it’s time to stop writing the same books and start demanding that governments change the law and introduce Mental Health Prevention for the sake of:
- every child
- every family
- the whole world
and eliminate criminality - video
